Last year like all medical colleges in Maharashtra, AFMC too has adopted the new MAHARASHTRA UNIVERSITY OF HEALTH SCIENCES (MUHS IN SHORT). The last bathces of Pune Univ are out and from now on MUHS shall conduct the exams.
The new MCI syllabus has been adopted in the college and this has led to a change in Univ Terms as well as subjects. Ist MBBS is now one year and the Univ exams are the end of IInd term. IInd MBBS is the same old stuff with the same old subjects. Exams are at the end of Vth term. Both VIIIth and IXth term are univ terms with the final MBBS subjects split amongst them.

CONSEQUENCES

The Good
-- MCQ questions included in paper without any negative marking (now u cant leave this part of paper empty )
-- The university exists on a website !!. Yes even though MUHS has not got a proper building in Nashik, it has a definitive presence on the world wide web. Have a look and judge for yourself the cyber-univ. Maybe soon we shall have cyber-exams as well J.

The Bad
-- "IA" no this is not indian airlines its even worse than that. Its internal assesment means u have to gave exam every damn month n all these marks will be included in ur final result (gosh !!!!!!)

The Ugly
-- we have to restrict our favourite timepass (sleeping) to sleeping hours !! MUHS it seems is very particular about attendance !!!

The Ugliest !!
